The portal was originally conceived and launched in 2008 by T. Sabapathi, driven by a passion for documenting the unique identity of the “Temple Town.” Recognizing its significance as a vital information hub for the region, the website reached a major milestone in its evolution two years later.
In 2010, the platform was formally relaunched by Shri M.S. Shanmugam, IAS, the then District Collector of Thanjavur, during a special ceremony at the Thanjavur Collectorate. This official recognition underscored the website’s role in promoting local tourism, supporting the regional economy, and preserving the rich archival history of the Chola heartland.
